# Notifications and the main bot

The “Notifications” tab controls where datool.ru sends events from your projects: to your email and to the MAX main bot. This is also where you choose the email language. The settings are shared by all projects and apply to you personally, whichever organization you're working in. Which channels and events to track is chosen in each project's Following.

## Where to find it

[hi.datool.ru/notifications/](https://hi.datool.ru/notifications/) — the **“Notifications”** tab of the account, or the “Notifications for all projects” card on Overview. Visible to everyone.

## Email

The card shows your address, the “Confirmed” badge and a change-email link ([“Profile and sign-in”](/en/cabinet/profile/)). The switch is on and disabled: **service emails can't be turned off** — email confirmation, sign-in and security, invitations and channel emails always arrive.

What you get by email:

- service emails — always (full list below, “Which emails you get”);
- **tracked word findings** — once a day, if the words appeared in new posts (the link leads to [“My MAX” → Words](/en/my/words/));
- a daily email digest and frequency choice (instantly, hourly, daily) — **coming soon**.

## MAX main bot

The datool.ru main bot in the MAX messenger sends digests and alerts about your channels and lets you look up channels and verify your own. The bot writes only to people who have **linked MAX to their account**.

**How to connect:**

1. If MAX isn't linked, the card says “not connected” and shows a **“Connect MAX”** link — it leads to [“Profile and sign-in”](/en/cabinet/profile/#sign-in-with-services). Connect MAX there (or sign in to the site with MAX next time).
2. Return to Notifications — the card shows “Connected” and the switch becomes active.
3. Turn on the **“MAX main bot”** switch and click **“Save”** at the bottom of the page.
4. The **“Open the bot”** link opens the bot in MAX.

**What the bot sends** depends on the MAX subscription of your organizations:

Which alerts are on for each channel is set in [Following](/en/my/following/). Channels paused above the Following limit send nothing.

### Bot menu and commands

The bot replies with a menu of buttons: **My channels**, **Following**, **Digest now**, **Notifications**, **Subscription**, **Help**, **Find a channel**, **Verify a channel**. The same actions are available as commands (the menu button next to the input field in MAX):

Send the bot a `max.ru/name` link or `@name` — it replies with a **channel card**: subscribers, growth, posts per day, last post (free), plus growth over a week and a month, average views, ERR and the quality index — with a MAX subscription and for the channel's owner. From the card you can add the channel to Following — the limits are the same as on the site: **1 channel without a subscription, 5 on Premium, 100 on Business**.

## Other ways

The “Other ways” card is a placeholder: a **Telegram bot** will come with the Telegram project, **browser notifications** — later. For now it's marked “Coming soon”.

## Which events are sent

Channels and their events are turned on in each project's Following. The strip shows, for MAX, how many **own** (verified) channels and channels **in Following** the current organization has, an **“Events”** link (the feed of all events in “My MAX”) and a **“Go to MAX “Following””** button. **Favorites** are just bookmarks: they don't produce notifications.

## Email language

**“Email language”** — Russian or English: email confirmation, sign-in and security emails, invitations and channel emails come in this language. Choose a language and click **“Save”** — the button also saves the bot switch.

## Which emails you get

Emails the service currently sends:

**Sign-in and security**

- email confirmation at sign-up and confirmation of a new address;
- password recovery and an attempt to sign up with an email that's already taken;
- password changed, password set, password reset;
- email changed (to the previous address), email address removed;
- social sign-in linked and unlinked (Yandex, VK, MAX).

**Organization**

- an invitation to an organization — when you're invited by email;
- access to the organization suspended and restored — to the member;
- some features paused above the limit — to the owner, when the plan's limit has decreased;
- invitations cancelled for lack of seats — to the owner.

**Channels and words** (to the organization's owner and administrators)

- channel verified, channel verification removed, channel verified by another organization;
- tracked words found — once a day.

**API**

- API request limit: 80 % or 100 % used — to the owner;
- API webhook turned off after a day without successful delivery — to owners and administrators.

Fiscal receipts are sent by YooKassa, not by datool.ru — from its own address ([“Balance and top-up”](/en/cabinet/balance/#receipts)).
