# Favorites

Favorites are bookmarks for MAX channels you've marked with a star: post ideas, ad placements, interesting competitors. The page lists all of them with subscribers, growth, average views and ERR for the selected period, and you can sort them into folders. Favorites don't send notifications — that's what [Following](/en/my/following/) is for.

## Where to find it

The page address is <https://max.datool.ru/my/favorites/>; in the “My MAX” menu it's the “Favorites” item (how the section is organized — [My MAX overview](/en/my/overview/)).

The page is available after you sign in (free); a guest sees an invitation to sign in instead of the list. Favorites belong to your **organization**: all its members see the same channels and folders. If you're a member of several organizations, the page shows the favorites of the one currently selected.

## How to add a channel to favorites

There's no “Add a channel” button on the page itself: channels get into favorites with a star.

- **The star in the channel header.** Open a channel page (for example, from the [catalog](/en/max/find/)) and click the “Add to favourites” star next to the “Share” button. A filled star means the channel is already in favorites; clicking again removes it. For a guest the star offers to sign up (more in [How the channel page works](/en/channel/overview/)).
- **The button on similar channels.** On the [Similar channels](/en/channel/similar/) tab every card has an “Add to favourites” button; for a channel that's already there it reads “In favourites” and removes it when clicked.

![The “Add to favourites” star in the channel header: the channel is already in favorites](https://media.datool.ru/docs/guide/en/my-favorites-star.webp)

A new channel goes into the “No folder” group. The “Channel catalog” button at the top of the Favorites page takes you to the catalog — a handy place to find channels to add.

If there's no room left, the star won't work: the Favorites page opens with the message “Your favorites are full. Remove channels you no longer need or buy a favorites pack.”

## Limits

| Plan | Channels in favorites | Folders |
|---|---|---|
| No subscription | 50 | 3 |
| Premium | 500 | 10 |
| Business | 2,000 | 100 |

You can raise the channel limit with a **favorites pack**: +500 channels for 30 days from payment for 990 ₽; up to 10 packs per purchase. Packs are sold on any plan, including without a subscription, and are added to the limit of your current plan. Packs don't change the folder limit. About plans — [Plans and payment](/en/start/plans/); buying packs — [Subscriptions and billing](/en/cabinet/billing/).

## Top of the page

![Top of the Favorites page with numbered limit, catalog, folders, search, sorting and periods](https://media.datool.ru/docs/guide/en/my-favorites-toolbar.webp)

1. **The “N of M” limit** — how many channels are in favorites and how many your plan and packs allow. If there are more channels than the limit, the number turns red. When there's no room, “Buy more channels” (the favorites packs page) or “Upgrade plan” appears next to it.
2. **“Channel catalog”** — go to the catalog to find and star new channels.
3. **Folder row.** “All” — all channels with the total count; “No folder” — channels not sorted into folders (right after “All”); then folders with a colored dot and channel count. If a folder has channels without numbers (switched off or paused), the count says “N hidden”. “+ Folder” creates a new folder; hover over it to see how many folders you already have: “Folders: 3 of 100”.
4. **“Find a channel” search** — by channel name, within the selected folder.
5. **“Sort by”** — name, subscribers, growth, average views or ERR (paid columns only with a subscription). Next to it — the “Ascending” / “Descending” button and a grey “N of M” line (how many channels are shown out of the total). You can also sort by clicking a column header; channels stay in their groups.
6. **Period selector** — 7 days · 30 days · 90 days · Year · All time · Custom dates, with “Figures for …” and the exact dates underneath. The period sets the span for growth, average views and ERR. The default is 7 days. Without a subscription 7 and 30 days are open and the rest are locked; with Premium or Business everything is open.

At the bottom of the page there's a hint — “All metrics are available · “—” means no data” (with a subscription) or “Growth, average views and ERR are available with a MAX subscription”. For a long list, “Back” / “Next” and a “Per page” selector appear: 10, 25 or 50 rows (50 by default).

## Channel groups and rows

Channels are grouped: “No folder” first, then folders in order. While there are no folders, it's just one list.

![The “No folder” group: collapse, “without numbers” label, star, a switched-off channel, switch and menu](https://media.datool.ru/docs/guide/en/my-favorites-group.webp)

1. **Group name** — click to collapse or expand the group (arrow on the left). Your browser remembers which groups you collapsed. Next to it is the number of channels in the group.
2. **“without numbers N”** — how many channels in the group are switched off or paused. The group totals on the right — “Total subscribers” and “Over 7 days” (total growth for the period, with a subscription) — count only enabled channels, and then the line “totals for N visible” appears under them.
3. **The star** in the row — always filled; clicking it removes the channel from favorites immediately.
4. **A switched-off channel** — the name and avatar are visible, the figures aren't, with the label “Off — numbers are hidden, not included in exports.”
5. **The “Enabled” switch** — see below.
6. **The channel “⋯” menu** — see below.

The table columns are the same as in Following, minus last activity and notifications:

| Column | What it shows | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Channel | Star, avatar, name (link to the channel page), @name or status: “Collecting data · a few minutes”, “Channel unavailable”, “Deleted in MAX” | after sign-in (free) |
| Subscribers | Current subscriber count | after sign-in (free) |
| Growth · 7 days | Change in subscribers over the selected period | Premium and Business subscribers |
| Average views | Average views per post over the period | Premium and Business subscribers |
| ERR | The share of subscribers who see an average post, % ([How metrics are calculated](/en/metrics/basics/)) | Premium and Business subscribers |

Without a subscription, paid columns show a **“— Subscribe”** cell that opens the subscription window. Your verified channel shows its figures without a subscription.

![Favorites without a subscription: “3 of 50”, “Subscribe” cells and locked periods](https://media.datool.ru/docs/guide/en/my-favorites-free.webp)

A channel that became private after you added it, and that your organization can no longer see, is shown as a placeholder: “The channel has become private — its metrics are hidden. You can remove it from favorites” — no name or figures, and the menu only has “Remove from favorites”.

On a phone the table becomes cards with the star, the menu, subscribers and growth; average views and ERR are under “All metrics”, and the switch is at the bottom of the card.

### The “Enabled” switch

Every channel has a switch on the right. An enabled channel is shown with figures, counted in the group totals and included in exports. A switched-off channel stays in the list with its name but without figures — a way to keep a channel at hand that you don't need right now without spending your limit on it: **you can't have more enabled channels than the limit**. If you try to enable a channel over the limit, you'll see “As many channels are enabled as your plan with packs allows. Turn off another channel or buy a favorites pack.”

### If there are more channels than the limit

You can end up with more channels than the limit — when a favorites pack expires or the organization moves to a lower plan. Nothing is deleted from favorites: enabled channels within the limit — the ones added earliest — are shown with figures, and the other enabled channels are **paused**. Such a row has no figures and the label “Paused — over the favorites limit. Turn off another channel or buy a pack.”

A banner then appears above the list: “Your favorites pack ended on DD.MM.YYYY.” (if a pack is the cause) and “With numbers — N channels: that's how many your plan with packs includes (M). Another K are paused — they're in the list without numbers.” It has a pack purchase button “+500 channels · 990 ₽” and “Plans”. Switch off the extra channels or buy a pack — the pause lifts by itself.

### Channel “⋯” menu

![Favorites channel “⋯” menu: move to folder, new folder, add to Following, channel page, remove](https://media.datool.ru/docs/guide/en/my-favorites-row-menu.webp)

- **“Move to folder”** — the list of folders; the current one is checked and unavailable, “No folder” takes the channel out of its folder.
- **“+ New folder”** — create a folder and put this channel into it right away.
- **“Add to “Following””** — add the channel to [Following](/en/my/following/) to get notifications about it (the Following limit applies). If it's already there, the menu says “Already in Following” instead.
- **“Channel page”** — open the channel's analytics.
- **“Remove from favorites”** (in red) — remove the channel. Unlike Following, the entry is deleted completely: if you add the channel again, it lands in “No folder”.

## Favorites folders

Favorites folders are their own, separate from Following folders. Names up to 40 characters (unique within the organization), one of 9 colors; the number of folders depends on your plan (see [Limits](#limits)).

![The “New folder” window in Favorites: name, suggested names, color and preview](https://media.datool.ru/docs/guide/en/my-favorites-folder-new.webp)

**Create a folder:**

1. Click “+ Folder” in the folder row (or “+ New folder” in a channel's “⋯” menu — then the channel goes straight into it).
2. Type a name or pick a suggested one (“Competitors”, “Partners”, “Buying ads”, “Selling ads”, “Post ideas”, “Clients”).
3. Pick a color — the site preselects a color none of your folders use yet, but any will do. The “This is how the folder will look:” line shows the result.
4. Click “Create folder”.

**Rename, recolor or delete**: the “⋯” menu in the folder header → “Name and color…” (change and “Save”) or “Delete folder…” → “Delete folder”. After deletion the folder's channels stay in favorites, under “No folder”. Favorites folders have no notifications.
