# How the site works

datool.ru consists of **showcases** — one per network, currently the MAX showcase — and a shared **account area** where your account, organization, subscriptions and billing live. This article explains where everything is: the header and its buttons, the account menu, the account tabs, the organization switcher, the footer and breadcrumbs.

## Showcase and account area

| | MAX showcase | Account area |
|---|---|---|
| Address | [max.datool.ru](https://max.datool.ru/) | [hi.datool.ru](https://hi.datool.ru/) |
| What is there | Catalog, channel and post pages, ratings, collections, “Today in MAX”, “MAX statistics”, the demo channel, “My MAX” | Sign-in and sign-up, profile, organization and members, subscriptions and billing, balance, API keys, notifications, plans |
| For whom | Everyone; some blocks after signing in or with a subscription | Signed-in users only |

The account is shared: sign in once and both the showcase and the account area recognize you (details — [Sign-up and sign-in](/en/start/signup/)). Showcases of the next networks (Dzen, VK, Telegram) will follow the same rules and use the same account area.

## The showcase header

![The MAX showcase header: numbers mark the elements described below](https://media.datool.ru/docs/guide/en/start-header.webp)

1. **Logo and project name.** The datool logo leads to the showcase home page. Next to it is the project name “MAX analytics” with the caption “channels, chats and posts”.
2. **“Projects”.** The list of datool.ru projects. Right now it contains MAX analytics (marked “Subscription active” if you have a subscription) and an “Information collectors” link to the external service brain-pro.ru. New networks will appear here.
3. **Search.** Type a channel name, its link or @handle — suggestions appear under the field, and Enter opens the catalog with results. Details — [Finding channels](/en/max/find/).
4. **“Sign in”** (for guests) or **“Account”** (after signing in) — the account menu, described below.
5. **Theme.** The moon switches to the dark theme, the sun to the light one. The choice is remembered in the browser and applies on all subdomains.
6. **Language.** The flag switches the interface language: Russian ↔ English. It also applies on all subdomains. In the documentation the language is part of the address: English pages start with `/en/`.
7. **Project menu:** “Channels” (catalog), “Ratings”, “Collections”, “Today” (“Today in MAX”), “Statistics” (“MAX statistics”), “API” (API description and plans), “Plans”, and on the right — “Knowledge base” (documentation, support, API, MCP) and “About us” (about the company, company details, contacts, support, payment methods).
8. **“+ Add a channel”.** Add a MAX channel that is not in the catalog yet, or verify your own channel. Details — [Add a channel](/en/max/add-channel/).
9. **“Demo channel”.** A channel page with made-up data where everything is open. Details — [Demo channel](/en/max/demo/).

!!! note "On a phone"
    On a narrow screen the project menu hides behind the three-line button, search opens with the magnifier icon, and “Add a channel” with the “+” icon next to the account button.

## The account menu

For **guests** the “Sign in” button opens two items: **“Sign in”** and **“Sign up”**.

**After signing in** the button is called **“Account”**, and the menu contains:

| Item | Where it leads | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| **Balance** and amount | The balance page of the current organization — [Balance](/en/cabinet/balance/) | Organization owner |
| **Subscriptions** | “Subscriptions and billing” in the account area — [Subscriptions and billing](/en/cabinet/billing/) | All signed-in users (the tab itself is shown to the owner) |
| **Account** | The account area, “Overview” tab — [Account](/en/cabinet/overview/) | All signed-in users |
| **Settings** | “Profile and sign-in”: name, photo, email, password, sign-in methods — [Profile and sign-in](/en/cabinet/profile/) | All signed-in users |
| **My MAX** | Your channels, “Following”, favorites, keywords, reports, events — [My MAX](/en/my/overview/) | All signed-in users |
| **Organization** — a list | Switching the active organization (below) | If you have more than one organization |
| **Sign out** | The sign-out confirmation page | All signed-in users |

## Organizations and the switcher

Subscriptions, balance, API keys, favorites, “Following” and reports belong not to a person but to an **organization**. Everyone has a **personal space** — a one-person organization created automatically on first sign-in. To work as a team, use a separate organization with colleagues (details — [Organization and members](/en/cabinet/organization/)).

If you have several organizations, choose which one you are working in now:

- in the header — the **“Account”** menu → the **“Organization”** section: the current one is marked with a coloured dot, archived ones are dimmed and labelled “archived”;
- in the account area and in “My MAX” — the button to the right of the heading with the current organization's name, your email and role. It opens the **“Account profiles”** list: all your organizations (the personal space first, captioned “Only you”), a check mark at the current one, and below — **“Invite a member”** (for the owner and administrators), **“Create an organization”**, **“Organization and members”** (from the personal space — **“My organizations”**), **“Profile and sign-in”** and **“Sign out”**.

After switching, the same page opens with the selected organization's data: its “Following”, favorites, limits and balance.

!!! note
    Paid showcase blocks open **according to the best subscription across all your organizations**, whichever one is selected. Limits — how many channels in “Following”, how many members — are counted for the selected organization. Details — [What you see without signing in, after signing in and with a subscription](/en/start/access/).

## The account area

The account area is [hi.datool.ru](https://hi.datool.ru/), headed “Your account”. Below the heading are tabs:

| Tab | What is there | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| **Overview** | Organization, subscriptions by project, profile and sign-in — in brief | Everyone |
| **Profile and sign-in** | Name, photo, email, password, connected Yandex and MAX | Everyone |
| **Organization and members** | Name and logo, members and roles, invitations, seats | Everyone (changes — owner and administrators) |
| **Subscriptions and billing** | The organization's subscriptions, buying and renewing, promo code, company details | Organization owner |
| **Balance** | Balance, top-up, operation history | Organization owner |
| **Partners** | The partner program: links, clients, rewards | Organization owner |
| **API keys** | API plan, the organization's keys, request usage | Everyone |
| **Notifications** | What to send by email and to MAX | Everyone |

At the bottom of every account page are your email and a **“Sign out”** link. Each tab is described in the [Account](/en/cabinet/overview/) section.

## Footer

At the bottom of every showcase page:

- phone **8 800 300-56-61** (toll-free in Russia) and email **mail@datool.ru**;
- **“Analytics”** — channel rating, mentions rating, channel collections, bot catalog, “Today in MAX”, “Add a channel”, “Demo channel”;
- **“Knowledge base”** — documentation, support, API, MCP;
- **“About us”** — about the company, company details, contacts, support, payment methods, plans, partner program;
- links to the personal data processing policy, the public offer, the privacy policy and the XML sitemap.

## Breadcrumbs

Above the page heading there is a breadcrumb line: the path from the home page to the current page, for example “Home / Your account / Profile and sign-in”. The first crumb is always **“Home”** — it leads to the same place as the logo. Every crumb is a link you can use to go one level up.
