# Cookies, consents and documents

Which consents datool.ru asks for and why, what the cookie window at the bottom of the page is, where the legal documents are and how to change your decision.

## The cookie window

On your first visit a **“We use cookies”** window appears at the bottom of the page with two equal buttons:

- **“Accept all”** — turns on Yandex Metrica analytics cookies and Yandex Advertising Network cookies;
- **“Necessary only”** — the site works fully, but Metrica and Yandex ads are not loaded.

**Necessary cookies** always work, without consent: signing in, form protection, language, theme and your choice in this window. The site does not work without them.

The choice applies to all datool.ru subdomains — the showcase, the account area, the documentation — and is kept for a year. After that, or when a new version of the cookie consent is published, the window asks again.

!!! note "How to change your choice"
    Click **“Cookie settings”** in the bottom line of the footer — the window opens again. If you withdraw consent after giving it, Metrica cookies are deleted from the browser.

What depends on the choice:

## Consents at sign-up

When you sign up — by email or with Yandex or VK ID — the site asks you to tick two required boxes (each links to the current version of the document):

1. **Consent to the processing of personal data.**
2. **Public offer** — the terms of using and paying for the service.

The third box — **“I want to receive datool.ru news and offers”** — is optional. Without it you get only service emails (email confirmation, sign-in, invitations, emails about channels and payments). You can turn the newsletter on or off later on the “Notifications” tab of the account area or with the “Unsubscribe” link in any email — [Notifications and the main bot](/en/cabinet/notifications/).

When joining the partner program you separately accept the **partner offer** — [Partner program](/en/cabinet/partner/).

## Legal documents

All documents are open without signing in; links to the main ones are in the bottom line of the footer:

- Personal data processing policy (in the footer — “Privacy policy”);
- Consent to the processing of personal data;
- Public offer;
- Refund policy;
- Partner offer;
- Consent to the processing of cookie data;
- Consent to receive newsletters.

Each document has **versions**. A published version is never edited: a new text means a new version with a date. At the bottom of a document page there is a list of earlier versions, so you can open the one you agreed to. Every consent is stored together with the version number, so it is always clear which exact text you agreed to.

!!! important "Russian only"
    Legal documents and company details are valid in Russian only. On the English version of the site they open in Russian, with a note about it.

## Adult pages

Channels and posts in the **“For adults”** category are covered by the **“Enter your date of birth”** window. Choose the day, month and year and click **“Continue”**: the site calculates the age. If you are 18 or older, the page opens and the window will not ask again until you close the browser; if not, the home page opens. The date of birth is not stored anywhere. There are no ads on such pages.
