Promo codes
A promo code is a short code that gives a plan discount, a free subscription, a top-up bonus or a gift to your balance. We hand out codes in newsletters, at events and through partners. This article covers the kinds of codes, where and by whom they're entered, and what can stop a code from working.
Kinds of promo codes
| Kind | What it gives | Where to enter it |
|---|---|---|
| Plan discount, % | −N % of the plan price (1 to 99 %) | at plan checkout |
| Plan discount, ₽ | −N ₽ off the plan price | at plan checkout |
| Free subscription | a product, tier and number of days without payment — for example, MAX Business for 30 days | “Have a promo code?” in the account, or at checkout |
| Top-up bonus, % | +N % to the top-up amount (there may be a cap in rubles and a minimum top-up) | on the top-up page |
| Balance gift, ₽ | +N ₽ to the balance at once | “Have a promo code?” in the account |
There's no 100 % discount — free access is given as a “free subscription” code. A ruble discount can't be greater than or equal to the plan price: the site asks you to choose a more expensive plan.
Who enters a code and for whom
A promo code always applies to an organization — like subscriptions and the balance — and is entered by that organization's owner. In your personal space, you are the owner. Before entering a code, check which organization is selected in the switcher to the right of the account heading: the subscription or money from the code goes to it.
Letter case and spaces don't matter: “leto 2026” and “LETO2026” are the same code.
Where to enter a promo code
At plan checkout
On the checkout page (hi.datool.ru/plans/checkout/<plan>/) — the “Promo code” field and the “Apply” button.

A discount code adds price and discount lines to the summary, the total goes down, and a note that the code has been applied appears under the field, with a “Remove” link. The pay-from-balance and pay-by-card buttons then charge the discounted price. If you enter a free-subscription or gift code here, an “Activate promo code” button appears instead of a discount — it works without payment.
“Have a promo code?” in the account
A field with an “Activate” button is on the “Subscriptions and billing” tab (the “Promo code and payment” card) and the “Balance” tab (the “Activity over 30 days” card).

- A free subscription and a balance gift are credited immediately — a message above the page says what was credited.
- A plan discount — the site opens the plans page with the code filled in, and the discount applies at checkout.
- Partner codes are entered here too (“Partner program”).
A link with a code
A link like https://hi.datool.ru/plans/?promo=CODE (from a newsletter or a partner) opens the plans page with a banner explaining what the code gives, and the code is passed to the plan buttons. If the code is disabled or expired, the banner says so.
On the top-up page
A top-up bonus code is entered on hi.datool.ru/balance/topup/ in the “Promo code” field: “Apply” shows the bonus in the summary, and the bonus is credited together with the payment — exactly as calculated when you proceeded to payment. Details — “Balance and top-up”.
When paying by invoice
If you pay by invoice, give the code to support when you request the invoice: the staff member applies it when crediting the money.
Code restrictions
A code can have conditions. If a condition isn't met, the site shows the reason right away.
- Validity period — “valid from” and “valid until”; some codes never expire.
- Total number of activations — for example, the first 100 people.
- Activations per client — usually one. It counts both by organization and by person: the same person can't activate the code a second time in a new organization.
- New clients only — if none of your organizations has ever paid for a plan. Balance top-ups, packs and subscriptions received for free don't count. A “new clients only” free-subscription code is given only to people who have never had any subscription, even a gifted one: one trial per person.
- Product and tier — a discount may apply, for example, only to MAX Business.
- Plans from N days — for example, a discount on the annual plan only.
- A code can be disabled — then it can't be activated.
Conditions are checked twice: when you enter the code and at the moment of payment. If the code ran out or was disabled while the page was open, the payment won't go through and no money is taken — you'll see the reason.
Brute-force protection
After 20 wrong codes within an hour, entry is blocked for an hour — even for a real code: too many attempts, try again in an hour.
Rules
- One promo code per order; discounts don't stack.
- A free subscription while a subscription is active. Same tier — the days are added to the term. A different tier (Premium is paid but the code is for Business, or vice versa) — the code can be activated only after the current subscription ends. If an all-in-one subscription that already includes the product is active, the code isn't accepted either — the days would be wasted.
- Promo days are free and have no money value: when you move to a higher tier, no remainder is returned to the balance for them.
- Promo money (gifts and top-up bonuses) appears in the balance history as “From promo code”. You can spend it like ordinary money, and it's spent first, but it isn't refunded on request — only deposited money is.
