All posts

“All posts” is the feed of all the channel's posts with totals for the selected period. Here you can read posts right on datool.ru, find a post by a word, sort the feed by views and reactions and export it to a spreadsheet.

Where to find it

Open the channel page and click the “All posts” tab (the tab address is …/channels/<channel name>/#posts). On the demo channel: https://max.datool.ru/demo/#posts.

The All posts tab: the feed header with periods and sorting, the first post and the period totals on the right
The All posts tab: the feed header with periods and sorting, the first post and the period totals on the right

On the left is the feed: the “Posts for the period” title, the search, export and sorting buttons, the period row and the post cards. On the right is the “Period totals” block with numbers and charts.

The selected period, search and sorting go into the page address — you can copy the link to the filtered feed and send it. The feed and the totals update without reloading the page; while loading, “Loading…” appears above the first post.

Periods

Under the title is the period row. Each period has its dates in small print under its name:

Period Which posts
Today published today (Moscow time)
Yesterday published yesterday
7 days over the last 7 days, including today
30 days over the last 30 days
90 days over the last 90 days
This year since January 1 of the current year
All time since the channel's first post
Custom dates any range: pick the start and end in a calendar
The feed's period row with dates under each period
The feed's period row with dates under each period

Clicking a period updates the feed and the totals immediately; there is no “Apply” button. The feed opens on 7 days.

Who can see it. All periods from “Today” to “All time” are currently open to everyone, including guests. “Custom dates” — the channel owner and “Premium” and “Business” subscribers; others see the button with a lock that leads to the plans page.

Sorting

To the right of the title is the sorting switch:

  • By date — newest posts first (the feed opens this way).
  • By views — the most viewed posts of the selected period first.
  • By reactions — posts with the most reactions first. Posts whose reactions we have not read yet go to the end.

Views and reactions are the post's current counts; the period selects posts by publication day.

Sorting by views and reactions covers 12 months

“By views” and “By reactions” look back no more than 365 days. If “All time” or custom dates longer than a year are selected, a note appears under the filter: “Sorting by views and reactions covers the last 12 months.” With these sortings the feed shows up to 500 posts (50 clicks on “Load more”).

Who can see it. “By date” and “By views” — everyone. “By reactions” — “Premium” and “Business” subscribers; others see the option with a lock that leads to the plans page.

The magnifier button next to the sorting opens the search line.

  1. Click the magnifier.
  2. Enter a word or phrase from the post text.
  3. Click “Search”.

A search result card appears above the feed: the word, “Searched …” (the days of the selected period) and, in large print, how many posts were found. Below are only the posts found. To return to the full feed, click “Reset”.

Search result: the word, the search days and the number of posts found
Search result: the word, the search days and the number of posts found
  • Search looks within the selected period: to find an old post, choose a longer period, for example “All time”.
  • Search narrows only the feed. The totals on the right stay for the whole period.
  • If nothing is found, the card suggests trying another word or a longer period.
  • For very large channels, an “All time” search may run out of time — the feed will ask you to choose a shorter period. If you search too often, the site will ask you to wait a minute.

Who can see it: after signing in (free). For a guest, the magnifier leads to sign-up.

CSV and Excel export

The round button with a down arrow next to the magnifier exports posts to a file.

  1. Choose a period (or custom dates) and, if you like, a search and sorting.
  2. Click the arrow button.
  3. In the menu, choose CSV (for spreadsheets and software) or Excel (.xlsx).

The file is built exactly according to the current feed filter: the same period, the same search and the same sorting, but without pages — from the first post of the period.

File column What it contains
Date and time Moscow time
Links to the post page on datool.ru and to the post in MAX
Text without formatting
Views, reactions total reactions and by type (“👍 25, ❤️ 3”)
Attachments number and types of attachments
Ad “yes” or “no”
Repost which channel it was reposted from, if it is a repost
Post number the number in MAX

Limits:

  • One file holds up to 200,000 rows; longer files are cut off.
  • A file of up to 20,000 rows downloads immediately. A bigger one is queued: you will be taken to the Reports and exports page, where the file appears once it is built. A finished file is kept for 3 days.
  • One organization can order up to 30 files per hour.
  • The plan does not limit the number of rows per day.

Who can see it: “Premium” and “Business” subscribers. Others see the button with a lock that leads to the plans page. There is no button on the demo page. More on exports: Reports and exports.

The note under the filter

If some feed features are locked for you, a framed note under the periods says what is locked and how to unlock it, for example: “Search and the whole feed — after free registration. Custom dates — with a subscription; the channel owner sees them for free. Sorting by reactions — with a subscription.” — with a “Sign up” or “Subscribe” button. The note always follows the current access rules. If everything is open to you, there is no note.

Period totals

To the right of the feed are up to nine metrics for the selected period in one list. Each row has the name, the full number (without “K” or “M”), the change versus the same previous period with an arrow and a small chart on the right.

Period totals: nine rows with mini charts and a large chart of the selected row
Period totals: nine rows with mini charts and a large chart of the selected row
Row What it shows Who can see it
Posts How many posts came out in the period everyone
Views Current views of the period's posts everyone
Subscribers The subscriber count at the end of the period; the change is the growth over the period everyone
Reactions Reactions on the period's posts after signing in (free)
Average post reach Average views per post (only posts older than two days) after signing in (free)
Engagement (ER) Reactions ÷ views × 100% after signing in (free)
Reposts from other channels How many of the channel's posts are reposts of other channels' posts “Premium” and “Business” subscribers
Ad posts How many posts look like ads and their share of the feed “Premium” and “Business” subscribers
Mentions by other channels How many times other channels mentioned the channel (excluding ad posts and self-mentions) “Premium” and “Business” subscribers

How to read it. Under the list is a large chart of the selected row: the solid line is the current period, the gray dashed line is the same previous period. The chart of the first row is open right away; click another row to switch. For “Subscribers” the scale starts not at zero but at the period's lowest number — otherwise small changes would not be visible. For “Average post reach” points with fresh posts are dashed: their views are still growing. A zero is shown as zero, a metric with no data as a dash, and a locked row as a blurred number with a lock and the note “Opens after free sign-up” or “Available with a subscription”.

How it is calculated.

  • A one-day period (“Today”, “Yesterday”) is calculated from posts, the chart points are hours, and the comparison is with the previous day.
  • For several days the chart points are days (up to 92 days), weeks (up to 400 days) or months.
  • Totals are compared as a per-day average: the current period is still running. More in How the channel page works.
  • “Reposts from other channels” are counted for the last 92 days; longer periods show the note “for the last 92 days” under the row.
  • Text search does not change the totals.

Example. If “Posts” fell by 20% while “Average post reach” grew by 15%, the channel posts less often but each post is read better. Growing “Ad posts” with falling reach is a reason to check whether the audience is tired of ads.

Post card

Each post in the feed looks the same as on its own page.

A post card in the feed: date, “Repost from …”, pictures, text, views, reactions and buttons
A post card in the feed: date, “Repost from …”, pictures, text, views, reactions and buttons

What the card contains:

  • Publication date and time — a link to the post page.
  • “Repost from “…”” — if the post was forwarded from another channel; the channel name is a link.
  • Attachments — pictures and videos in a grid, in their own proportions. A picture can be opened large, a video can be played. Attachments of private channels are not copied to us — they open via a MAX link.
  • Text — with formatting and links, as in MAX.
  • Stickers, polls, locations, contacts, link buttons. A poll shows its type (poll or quiz, anonymous, multiple answers, closed), the question, the options and “Total votes”. MAX shows per-option results only to those who voted, so we do not have them. A location has “Open on the map”.
  • “Ad post” — a mark if the post looks like an ad (how we detect ads).
  • Views (eye icon), total reactions (heart) and reactions by type (👍 60, ❤️ 27…). The reaction breakdown is available after signing in: a guest sees a blurred example instead.
  • Buttons: a copy-link icon, “Go to post” (the post page on datool.ru), “Open in MAX” and “Report an inaccuracy” — a support request window with this post already filled in.
