All events

All events is a feed of everything that happened to your verified channels and the channels in Following: ad posts, sharp changes in subscribers, mentions by large channels, popular posts, renamings and disappearances. These are the same events the MAX main bot sends alerts about, only collected in one place and grouped by day.

Where to find it

The page address is https://max.datool.ru/my/events/; in the “My MAX” menu it's the “All events” item (how the section is organized — My MAX overview). A short feed of recent events is also on the section's overview page.

The page is available after you sign in (free) and has no locks: you only see events of your own channels and your organization's Following channels, and their number already depends on your plan. If the organization has neither verified channels nor channels in Following, instead of the feed you'll see “No events yet” and an “Add channels to Following” link.

Events are kept for 90 days — older ones are deleted, so the longest feed period is 90 days.

Where events come from

We regularly read all public MAX channels and every 15 minutes look for events in Following channels and verified channels. An event is recorded once and appears in the feed right away. The event types are the same as in the Following notification window:

Type (label in the feed) When it appears
Subscribers +N / −N Within a day subscribers grew or fell by 1,000 people or by 5% (5% only if it's at least 50 people). Green label — growth, red — decline
Ads The channel published a post we marked as an ad (How we detect ads)
Renaming The channel has a new name or a new @name
Channel disappeared / Deleted in MAX The channel became unavailable or was deleted in MAX; repeats weekly until the channel is back
Mention A public channel with 10,000+ subscribers linked to the channel or reposted it
Popular post A post younger than 3 days got three times more views than the channel's average post over 30 days, and at least 1,000 (Hits and post popularity)
Bot removed Only for your verified private channels: the datool.ru bot was removed from the admins, collection has stopped

Notification settings don't hide the feed

If you turned off notifications or certain alert types for a channel in Following, the bot stops messaging about them, but the events still appear in the feed. The only Following channels left out are paused ones (over your plan's limit) and channels that became private after you added them.

Next to the heading is the number of events for the selected period, and under it the line “Events of your channels and channels you follow. The log is kept for 90 days.”

  1. “Set up notifications” — goes to your account at https://hi.datool.ru/notifications/: that's where you turn the “MAX main bot” that sends alerts and digests on or off (Notifications). Which alert types to send for each channel is set with the bell in Following.
  2. Event type chips: “All” and the types that have events in the period, with counts — for example, “Ads 28”, “Mentions 4”. Clicking one leaves only that type in the feed; “All” clears the filter. Types without events in the period aren't shown. The chips go in this order: “Ads”, “Subscribers”, “Mentions”, “Popular post”, “Renaming”, “Disappearance”, “Bot removed”.
  3. “All / My channels / Following” — whose channels to show: all at once, only your verified ones or only the ones in Following.
  4. Following folder — a drop-down with “All folders”, your organization's Following folders and “No folder” (shown once folders exist). Choosing a folder leaves only its channels in the feed and switches to Following. More about folders — Following and notifications.
  5. “Find a channel” search — by channel name or @name.
  6. Periods — 7 days · 30 days · 90 days · Custom dates. The default is 7 days. “Custom dates” opens a calendar where you can pick any days within the last 90 days, then “Apply”. Periods and dates are open to everyone, including without a subscription.

Filters combine: for example, “Ads” + the “Competitors” folder + 30 days shows competitors' ad posts for the month. All filters are kept in the page address — you can send such a link to a colleague from your organization.

The day-by-day feed

Events go from newest to oldest and are grouped by day (Moscow time). The day header shows the date (“Today, 18 October”, “Yesterday, 17 October”, “16 October”) and “Events: N” — how many events that day match your filters; if some of them are new, also “new: N”.

  1. Day header — date and number of events.
  2. Event time (HH:MM Moscow time). A new event has a purple dot to the left of the time.
  3. Type label — a colored tag with a word: “Ads”, “Subscribers +2 105”, “Mention”, “Popular post” and so on.
  4. Channel name with avatar — a link to the channel page.
  5. Channel marker: “mine” — your verified channel; a colored dot — the color of the Following folder the channel is in (hover to see the folder name).
  6. Event text — what happened: the beginning of the ad post in quotes; “+6.1% in a day, now 21 480” for subscribers; “mentioned by “Channel name”, subscribers: 48 K” for a mention; “12.4 K views against the usual 3 100: “beginning of the post”” for a popular post; “old name” → “new name” for a renaming. If the event's post has already been deleted in MAX, the text reads “post deleted in MAX” instead of a quote.
  7. Link on the right: “Post →” — open the post itself (for ads and popular posts), “Where →” — the channel's Mentions tab showing who mentioned it and where, “Channel →” — the channel page (for the other types and for events whose post was deleted).

This is what the feed looks like with only mentions left:

New events

Events that appeared since your previous visit to the page are highlighted and marked with a purple dot next to the time, and the day header says “new: N”. The highlighting stays while you switch filters and periods; a new visit is opening the page after a break of more than 30 minutes. The “seen” mark is stored separately on each device and in each browser, and on your very first visit there are no new events.

“Show 50 more”

The 50 most recent events are shown at once. If there are more, a “Show 50 more” button (or fewer, if fewer remain) appears at the bottom of the feed: it adds the next events and takes you to the first of them. Up to 1,000 events can be expanded on the page — to find older ones, narrow the period or choose a type or folder.

If there are no events in the period, the feed says “No events in this period. Choose a longer period.”, and if the search finds nothing — “Nothing found. Change your search.”
