Demo channel

The demo channel is the page of an invented “Demo channel” where every analytics tab is filled in and open, as for a subscriber. Use it to explore the interface at your own pace and see what analytics will show for your channel or a competitor’s — without signing in and without a subscription.

Where to find it: https://max.datool.ru/demo/ — the green “Demo channel” button with a dot in the second row of the header and in the site footer.

How the demo differs from a real channel

  • The data is made up. Above the title, instead of the channel number, there is a “Demo: made-up data” label, and the description says so too. The numbers are invented to look plausible and to agree between tabs: the channel has about 48 thousand subscribers, roughly 9 posts a day, about 8 % ads and a quality index of 82.
  • Everything is open. Any visitor, even without signing in, sees every block of every tab: there are no locks, blurred examples or “Available with a subscription” labels.
  • Both labels at once. The blue badge (the owner verified the channel) and the green A+ shield are shown so you can see what they look like.
  • Periods — “7 days”, “30 days”, “90 days”, “Year” and “All time”; the page opens on 30 days. The days follow the calendar: “7 days” always means the last 7 days. The last two days are drawn with a dashed line, as for real channels: views of fresh posts are still growing.
  • No features that an invented channel cannot use: there are no “Add to favourites”, “Download report” (PDF) or “I own this channel” buttons, no “Custom dates” and no separate post pages.
  • The demo channel is not in the catalog, ratings or collections, search does not find it, and it does not appear in the analytics of real channels.

Posts and other channels are real

  • The “All posts” feed contains real posts of public MAX channels (news, weather, polls) shown as reposts. “Repost from “…”” leads to the real channel’s page, “Open in MAX” opens the post itself in MAX. Their views and reactions are scaled down to the size of the demo channel, while the popularity order is kept. Besides the common periods, the feed also has “Today” and “Yesterday”.
  • Mentions, similar channels, reposts and ads show real MAX channels with links to their pages, but their mentions, reach and ads are invented here.

How to use the demo

  1. Open the demo channel and go through the tabs: “Dashboard”, “All posts”, “Audience analysis”, “Mentions”, “Popular”, “Post reach”, “Posting schedule”, “Ad statistics” and the rest under “More”.
  2. Hover over the “i” icons on the blocks — they explain how each number is calculated.
  3. Switch periods, sorting and tabs inside blocks — everything works the same as on a real channel.
  4. Compare with a real channel: open any channel from the catalog to see which blocks are free there, which open after signing in and which need a subscription.

What each block means is described in the “Channel page” section, starting with Channel page overview and Dashboard.

Note

The demo is hidden from search engines: its numbers are made up and should not appear in search.
